The High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh (HCDA) held a training workshop on environmental protection and architectural sustainability for its staff on Wednesday.
The three-day workshop was held in cooperation with the Gulf Organization for Research and Development, as part of the Towaique Training Academy, an affiliate of the HCDA. Participants included 30 engineers and other workers.
The workshop provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss various topics including the urban environment, climate data and cultural rights of the Kingdom and the Gulf region.
There was also discussion on how to reduce the negative environmental effects of building activities and consumption of natural resources to create a better environment for current and future generations.
The workshop will help participants prepare for examinations to get professional certificates in the field of green practices from the International Association for Impact Assessment.
